OWE 3 v 2 TMS

OWE started the game well and won the first corner, it was well cleared by the TMS centre backs. OWE went 1-0 up, Lewis with a trade mark ‘BOOM BOOM’ from 18 yards gave the keeper no chance. TMS came back into the game and after a good move they hit the post and Josh cleared the ball. Not long after, Ben had to dive to his near post to keep a shot out. It was an entertaining first half with very open football from both teams.

Second half started and TMS were doing the early pressing and got an equaliser. OWE stepped up a gear and grabbed the lead with a George shot from inside the area. Not long after Robert made it 3 – 1. TMS were not giving up and hit the underside of the bar and quickly the ball was cleared. Josh was winning every ball in defence, tackle after tackle. With two minutes to go Lewis scored an unlucky own goal. The touchline went silent and everyone prayed for the final whistle. It eventually came and the faces on the boys as they came off the pitch showed they had been in a tough game.
