Ormskirk F.C vs. Ormskirk West End Red

Ormskirk began the match strongly causing some problems for West End down the left flank as the reds struggled to get out the blocks. This early pressure was rewarded with an unlucky goal. Firstly, Ben made a world class save but could only look on as the ball rebounded over him to score the first goal of the game. West End then upped their game to create chances of their own. Towards the end of the first half, George found some space down the left and put a dangerous ball into the middle with Lewis on hand to slot home.

West End Red started the second just as they finished the first. Nathan slid in Lewis who went past their player with ease but was brought down to concede a penalty. George stepped up and placed it in the bottom corner with the keeper not moving. The third goal quickly followed with Nathan again putting in Lewis who tucked it in nicely. Number four came in a similar style but this time down the left and when Stuart put in a dangerous cross the Ormskirk player converted into his own net.4-1. We looked to be cruising until Ormskirk struck with a goal of their own which Ben stood no chance of getting to. West End then relieved some of that pressure by taking their tally to five when Stuart’s shot hit the post and in. West End rounded off a good performance when Callum hit it between the keeper’s legs to score.
